And apropos, another freedom...
the freedom to choose the colours of your dress

Selma, the poet and translator from Tehran, seems dispirited in her recent post:

I wonder if you guys out there can understand the feeling …even our men here really don’t get it … the second before going out of the door every morning, you look into the mirror not asking yourself “do I look good” or “how does my hair look today” but wondering if what you are wearing is “legal” and fearing what if this manteau isn’t long enough (below knees, wearing trousers mandatory too) and if it is loose enough and if black is dark enough for them?

Check out the IOC, agreeing to Chinese Net censorship, Noga.

Did they do this with the Ruskies as well?

It seems to me that International Organizations seem be awfully willing to bend silently for the human rights abusers and oppressors of freedom worldwide, but tend to get vocally outraged at the US for the slightest fauxpa.

I have it on high authority (Brian Williams) that Iran is a very open and liberal place, that only wishes to persue peace talks and global warming conscious power supplies for its people.

Ive lost all respect for Brian Williams.
